Established in 1890, the Wapello County Fair Grounds are one of lowa's oldest fairgrounds.
In 1917 the fair was suspended and the building was used as an encampment for the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Company C. Visit the Wapello County Fair Page for information on this year's fair.
In 1995 Hollenbeck Hall was placed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Big 4 Fair Art Hall. It was completely restored and is still used for exhibits during the annual fair.
