The American Gothic House Center is available for group tours. We have the following available for your use:
- bus parking
- women's restroom (2 stalls), men's restroom (1 stall)
- one wheelchair
- two picnic tables
Our tours can include one or all of the following:
- welcome and introduction to American Gothic, Grant Wood and his visit to Eldon
- choice of two educational films (17 minute cartoon or 30 minute adult film)
- photos in front of the house or inside using the cutouts (costumes and props are available)
- docent led tour of exhibit
- gallery shop
Visit length depends on how many people you have in your group and how many of the above activities you decide to participate in. Visits vary between 30-90 minutes, with an average visit of about 60 minutes.
