(1) Agenda.
(2) Minutes of the January 31, 2012 Board meeting.
(3) Discuss bond refinancing with Jeff Heil – Northland Securities
and possibly set date for a public hearing.
(4) Compensation Board’s recommended increase for elected
officials salaries.
(5) Discussion of use of I.C.&E. rail yards for traffic when Quincy
Street Bridge is closed for repair, and the letter received from
Bruce B. Wold, Manager of track maintenance for the
Canadian Pacific.
(6) Appointment to County Conservation Board.
(7) Appointment to Veterans Affairs Board.
(8) Other Business, i.e., Committee Reports, Officer Reports, etc.
The Board may agree, upon request, to hear public input. (If
so, comments will be limited to 2 minutes.)

WAPELLO COUNTY BOARD PROCEEDINGS
DATE: 1-17-2012 TIME: 9:30 a.m.
PRESENT: Steve Siegel, Chair; Greg Kenning, Vice Chair; Jerry L. Parker, Supervisor; Josh Stevens, Emergency Management; Jeremy Weller, Jail Administrator; Brian Moore, Engineer; Kelly Spurgeon, Auditor; Pam Norton, Auditor’s Clerk.
Chair Siegel called the meeting to order. Vice Chair Kenning moved, seconded by Supervisor Parker to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Supervisor Parker moved, seconded by Vice Chair Kenning to approve the minutes of the January 10, 2012 Board meeting. Motion carried.
Vice Chair Kenning moved, seconded by Supervisor Parker to authorize the Chair to sign the agreement for Pictometry International Corporation and Wapello County, Iowa. Motion carried.
Supervisor Parker moved, seconded by Vice Chair Kenning to approve a request to hire Jeffrey T. Schulz as a Correctional Officer I in the Sheriff’s Department, hire date 1-23-2012 at a starting hourly rate of $13.91. Motion carried.
Supervisor Parker moved, seconded by Vice Chair Kenning to defer item #5 Letter from City Attorney regarding reimbursement of dispositional expenses per Iowa Code 717B.4(d)and request the Chair to gain more information from the city. Motion carried.
Vice Chair Kenning moved, seconded by Supervisor Parker to accept and file the Treasurer’s Investment Report for December 2011. Motion carried.
Vice Chair Kenning moved, seconded by Supervisor Parker to accept and file the Treasurer’s Semi-Annual Report for July 1, 2011 – December 31, 2011. Motion carried.
Supervisor Parker moved, seconded by Vice Chair Kenning to accept and file the Recorder’s 2nd Quarter Report 2011-2012. Motion carried.
Supervisor Parker moved, seconded by Vice Chair Kenning to accept and file the Clerk of Court’s Monthly Report for December 2011. Motion carried.
Budget review meetings will be held this week for Veterans Affairs, DHS, Public Health Nurses and Secondary Roads.
9:40 a.m. Vice Chair Kenning moved, seconded by Supervisor Parker to adjourn. Motion carried.
