Greg Kenning has been a Wapello County Supervisor since October 2007. He was born and raised in Ottumwa and taught high school for 37 years, the last 25 of those years spent teaching Spanish.
His wife Miriam teaches at Ottumwa High School and they have been married for 35 years. Their son Ian is a primary care physician in Seattle, WA and their daughter Sydney works at a bank in Iowa City. They have one granddaughter, Avery, Ian’s daughter.
On the side Kenning has been a sports official since 1983.
