How The Garden Grows: Spring and fall are great times for students to visit our garden. We will use this wonderful tool to explore the kingdom of plants, how they grow and why plants are important to other living things.
Eat or Be Eaten: The most important thing to living creatures is survival. During this program, we will discover how animals keep from being eaten and how they keep from being seen, heard, smelled, etc while hunting. We will also discuss our impact on the habitat of animals.
Awesome Amphibians and Rockin’ Reptiles: We will use live specimens to compare and contrast these two animal groups and find out how some have survived since the age of dinosaurs.
Mammals of Iowa: Mammals are all over the place. Many of us have them as pets. We will find out what makes mammals special and how we have changed (and still are changing) their habitat.
