Biomes: This program will explore the biomes of Earth. We will discuss local biomes along with others. We will also discuss the symbiotic relationship of organisms within each biome.

Pond Study: Students will get their hands dirty searching for animals in a healthy freshwater habitat. We will also discuss why it is important to conserve this and other natural resources. At the end of the program, we will determine the health of the water by the critters caught.

Fishing: Fish as a natural resource? Students will learn about fish and their habitats. They will learn to tie fish knots, cast, land a fish, take a fish off the hook and how to safely return the fish to the water. We will provide fishing poles and tackle. You will need to bring the bait.

Camp: Be it one day, two days or an overnight, students will explore Pioneer Ridge Nature Area. There are many activities to choose from or it can be left to the naturalist to decide.
