Payments may be made on-line using an E-Check, Mastercard, Visa, or Discover. A service delivery fee will apply.
If your E-Check does not "Clear," whether due to lack of funds, or incorrect entry of your ABA or account numbers, a twenty dollar fee will be charged.
Pay Property Taxes: Property tax statements for the payments due 9/2009 and 3/2010 were mailed August 4th, 2009.
Pay Your Vehicle tags: To renew your car license on line, you must have a pin number and be free of "Stops," placed on your records.

Dianne Kiefer has been the Wapello County Treasurer since October 1986. Kiefer was hired by the Wapello County Treasurer Herbert W. Hanna in 1969 as a clerk in the tax department. Through the years, she was promoted in the office, and was appointed Treasurer on October 1, 1986 when Hazel Johnson retired. Kiefer is currently running for her 7th four-year term.
Kiefer is a past president of the Iowa State County Treasurer’s Association and is a board member of the Iowa Public Agency Investment Trust. She has worked on several committees for and enjoys being active in the Treasurers’ Association.
Kiefer graduated from Crestwood High School in Howard County, Iowa where she grew up on a farm. She has a degree in accounting from Buena Vista University and has passed the CPA exam. Kiefer enjoys teaching a few evening accounting classes at BVU.
Kiefer and her husband Gary are the proud parents of three children and grandparents of three grandchildren.
