Motor Grader Operator
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related heavy equipment experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to the general public and employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables. Must possess a VALID IOWA DRIVER’S LICENSE and must be able to obtain a VALID IOWA DRIVER’S LICENSE CLASS "B" W/AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENT within 120 days of hire. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Regular work attendance is required.
