About Jerry L. Parker
Jerry Parker has been a Wapello County Supervisor since 1998. For the most part, Parker was born and raised in Ottumwa. When he was 8-12 years of age he lived in Davenport, Iowa. Parker graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1963, is married and has four children and eight grandchildren.
Parker began his career in government in 1967 when he went to work for the City of Ottumwa Engineering Department. While there he served as president of the Local 1404, the city employees union. During that time Parker was elected to a term on the Riverfront Commission. He then served four terms on the Ottumwa City Council in charge of Parks and Public Property.
Parker was elected to three terms as the full-time Mayor of Ottumwa. He was then elected to two terms to the Sunnyslope Board of Trustees. In 1998, Parker was elected to the Wapello County Board of Supervisors and is currently serving his sixth term.

About Brian Morgan
Brian Morgan is currently serving his first term on the Wapello County Board of Supervisors. Morgan is a life long resident of Ottumwa, graduated OHS in 1997, and has owned and operated Morgan’s Corner Bar & Grill since 2012. He had worked at Golden Eagle Dist. for 13 years previously.
Morgan is married to his wife Jill and has three children (Mallory, 11, Nellie, 9, and Charlie, 8.).

About Wayne Huit
Wayne Huit is an Ottumwa native and graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1965. He is an Army Veteran and was deployed for two years. He worked for John Deere Company for thirty years. He has owned Wayne’s Tire and Wheel for thirty-five years.
Wayne has one daughter living in Ottumwa and another in Illinois. Wayne and his wife reside in Wapello County.

County meetings are held on a weekly basis and are open to the public, most often at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings. The Board is able to establish programs, services, and laws for the county. On a weekly basis the board considers various ordinances and resolutions impacting local government.
