Adult Vaccines

Adult's immunizations are by appointment by calling 641-682-5434.
Wapello County Public Health is excited to announce that we have been approved to be a Vaccines for Adults (VFA) provider by Iowa Health and Human Services (IHHS). Wapello County Public Health will ask for a $10 per person cash donation to help offset the costs associated with vaccine administration.
- Wapello County Public Health routinely carries the following vaccines for VFA:
- Tdap, Polio, MMR, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Influenza vaccines.
- Qualifications for VFA eligibility are set by the IHHS and are the individual:

- Is without any insurance coverage OR
- Has an insurance plan that does NOT cover all vaccines (the individual is partially eligible to receive only the vaccines that their insurance does not cover).

- Criteria that would disqualify from VFA eligibility and receiving VFA vaccines are if an individual::

- Has private insurance or Medicaid
- Is covered by Iowa Health Link or Medicaid through a fee for service OR
- Has Medicaid Part D

We offer the following for a fee for service below:
- TB skin test - $50
- Adult Flu vaccines $45
Insurance is not accepted. Cash only.
